Christmas Trees, Christmas Cakes, Christmas meals and a Christmas Collection - it has been a busy few weeks for us!
The Rotary Christmas tree was decorated by President Margaret Thorp and displayed during the Christmas Tree Festival at St Edwards Church in Knighton.
The Christmas cakes were made by member Chris Ruby and a friend, sponsored by the Knighton Rotary Club and donated to the East Radnor Day Centre in Presteigne to be delivered to those who cannot attend the Centre on Christmas Day.
The Rotary Christmas Collection was held on Saturday at the Knighton Community Christmas Market and the money raised will go to Credu who support adult and young carers in the community.
Finally on December 20th we were once again pleased to support the Knighton Churches Together Christmas Lunch for pensioners. Rotary President Margaret Thorp said “The Churches Together in Knighton provide a lunch all through the year with the help of volunteers, but the Christmas lunch is particularly looked forward to”. President Margaret presented Sister Margaret Davis with a cheque for £250 to help fund the Christmas celebrations.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
