Goodie bags added to Food Bank parcels
Rotary Christmas Goodie Bags
Midhurst & Petworth Rotary have been busily preparing Christmas goodie bags to go with around 220 Christmas holiday food parcels, supplied to local school children who receive free school meals. There will be around 70 in Petworth and 150 in the Midhurst area, all delivered by Midhurst Food bank volunteers. A Rotary spokesman says that each goodie bag will include mince pies or cake slices, chocolate, Christmas crackers and a handful of easy peel satsumas - from the 110 Kg Rotary bought!
We were generously assisted by Midhurst Tesco Express and Manager Dave Woods who supplied much of the product for the goodie bags and even managed to get £60 discount for us from Tesco’s Community Fund.
All the food parcels and Christmas goodie bags will be delivered to the relevant families later this week.
