What’s Rotary up to this Christmas?

December is always a busy month for Llandudno Rotary – here’s some of what we have been and will be getting up to

Llandudno Christmas Parade

Four Rotarians ( including Father Christmas) helped to steward and generally support this annual parade through the town, organised by the Llandudno Town Council. Thousands turned out for this annual colourful noisy  intro to the Christmas season

St David’s Hospice Children’s Party

Saturday 4th December also saw Father Christmas (who may or may not have been Rtn. Mike Perry in disguise – our lips are sealed) and other Rotarian helpers attend Craig y Don Community Centre to distribute presents to about 50 children who are relatives of  past and present patients at the Hospice. A raffle and donations raised £159 of welcome funds for the Hospice as well

Our own Christmas Party

21 Members, partners and friends are partying at The Lilly, West Shore, on Tuesday 14th December. There’s traditional fare and games, plus musical entertainment from the legendary Chris Walden on the piano

Mostyn Street Snowman Collection

For as long as anyone can remember, at Christmas, Llandudno Rotary have been relieving the pockets and purses of the generous residents and visitors to the town, dressed as snowmen. We’re out there again on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st December. You can also text a £5 donation to 70085 – just quote LLANDUDNO 5 . Every penny goes to worthy local charities

Rosalind’s Boxing Day Dip

Our heroic seagoing President, Rosalind Hopewell, is again a sporting entrant into the Boxing Day Dip organised by Llandudno Lions. Her chosen charity is Ty Gobaith, the children’s hospice in the Conwy Valley. You can text a £5 donation to 70580 – just quote DIP 5

Happy Christmas to you all – see you with fresh news in 2022
