Prestwick Rotarians were treated to a Salvation Army 'double act' from Les and Emma Heal, who are captains, and ministers, at Kilmarnock Salvation Army Church. Les stated that the best thing about the job is working with people, but he also added that at times that can be the worst thing about the job !

They are heavily involved with Christmas appeals at the moment, especially toy parcels for kids. In addition they do a twice-weekly lift from supermarkets for a foodbank. Soup and sandwiches are also provided by delivery, or directly from the church. They are a lovely, committed couple, who relish the opportunity to serve their community in a whole variety of ways. Jim Bruce offered a hearty vote of thanks on behalf of the club.

Shown are Les and Emma centre, with Rotarians Debby Broughton-Hay, Steven Cooper and Lorraine McEvoy.
