The club was pleased to welcome back our District Governor
Roger Stint who had taken an hour and a half to drive from his home in Oxted. Gerard
Ilsley, ADG, also joined us. Roger congratulated the club on being the second
highest per capita contributor in the District to the Rotary Foundation, and
presented our President Simon with pennant to mark the achievement. Roger
urged us to get involved in community events and to tell people about the work
that our club had done to help people and organisations. He asked us to get
involved with tree planting and said that trees are available from the Woodland
Trust. He explained that Rotary is in the process of reorganising its committee
and management structures.
