Kids Out Day.....

.....is an annual national Rotary event with a thirty year history. On one day in June Rotary Clubs escort disadvantaged children for a fun day out at a theme park or a zoo. In 2019 28,000 children participated.


Every year we play our part, taking around 60 kids from two schools to a venue such as Paultons Park or Marwell Zoo.

But Covid intervened and the 2020 and 2021 outings had to be cancelled.

This year however we were able to obtain free Odeon cinema tickets to distribute as a consolation.  The picture above shows us presenting 50 tickets to students at Cornerstone Academy in Hamworthy.  We presented a further 50 to students at Bayside Academy, Turlin Moor.

Hopefully our normal programme will resume inext year.
