This contest is looking for people like young people, who care about the planet.
THEME: – ‘Our Tomorrow’
You can enter as a team or as an individual and come up with a clever way to address the challenge of waste minimisation.
Submissions are in project form and must show your ingenious way of tackling the issue.
Your reward? A mentoring experience to take your idea forward and a chance to save the planet.
Your project work will go through a local stage first, followed by the Scotland North district final.
The competition is open to environmentalists up to the age of 17
Aims and Objectives
The competition aims to encourage young people to:
interact with the environment
address serious environmental issues
develop and explore solutions to the issues
explore, investigate, research and undertake an environmental sustainability project
Who can take part?
The competition is open to all young people in the age groups shown below. They may be an in individual or from any group (up to 4 participants) or community organisation including schools and college communities, home educated, other young peoples’ community organisations, for example, community RotaKids, community Interact, Scout Groups, Girl Guides, Church Groups etc.

The competition is open to all schools and college communities and those who are home educated, along with any other young peoples’ community organisations, for example, community RotaKids, community Interact, Scout Groups, Girl Guides, Church Groups etc.
There are three age groups:
Junior - up to and including 10 years old
Intermediate - 11 to 13 years old
Senior - 14 to 17 years old
Entrants must not exceed the upper age parameter for each group on 31 August 2024.
Please note that entries and supporting information sent electronically must not exceed 15Mb per email sent. The 2023-2024 Entry Form and Information Pack still apply with the exception of the theme which is 'Our Tomorrow'.
