Sylvia Beaufort Centre

Rotarians were delighted to meet in reality at the golf club. After our meal the manager of the Sylvia Beaufort Centre in Petworth, Dan Sneller, told us about the centre. Dan had brought along several display boards illustrating various activities.
Sylvia Beaufort spearheaded activities for young people and after she passed away the Sylvia Beaufort Centre was opened in her memory.
The aim of the centre is to give young people outstanding life opportunities. The centre caters for young people between the ages of 9 and 17. This is a Youth Club which enables attendees to take part in a variety of activities – from cooking to visits to adventure parks. At the moment around 80 young people attend one of the various sessions each week.
During the day the centre is used by various community groups.
