Vice Chair of Midhurst Town Council is Rotary’s first Speaker

Jeanette Sutton, Vice Chair of Midhurst Town Council, was Rotary’s first live speaker for 18 months.  Jeanette who was Head of Art at Midhurst Grammar & Midhurst Rother College until 2011, Chair of Governors at Easebourne Primary School, an Easebourne Councellor, an active founder of Midhurst Angels, a trustee of Pest House Charity, a town councillor for 8 years and very involved with MADhurst’s Art offering for many years, told Rotarians and Partners about the many projects she has been involved with.

These included the newly built Skate Park which held its grand opening only a few weeks ago, the Northern Gateway to the town, at the mini roundabout, which is being totally re-furbished with a metal structure in the shape of a copse of trees and planted with wild flowers and small shrubs and bulbs..

Jeanette is also very involved and excited about a new project called “Midhurst Community Hub”, setting it up as charitable organisation to enable local people in need, to access integrated help at a single one-stop-shop.  These needs are likely to be complex and could include, housing, debt, poverty, mental health and wellbeing, family support and unemployment.

Jeanette is a very patient, energetic and enthusiastic community led individual and everyone in the audience thanked her for hard work for Midhurst and surrounding area.
