Tokyo Bound

Disability Sports Fife (DSF) recently received the news that two of their athletes will be heading for Tokyo to take part in the Paralympic Games. The first is Derek Rae from Kirkcaldy, who has been selected to run the marathon. Derek is a peer mentor volunteer and coach and is an extremely popular member of the group. This is Derek’s second visit to the Paralympics after being involved in the Games in Rio.

The second athlete is former Woodmill High School pupil Owen Miller from Dunfermline, who is the first T20 athlete from Fife to be selected for the GB athletics team. Owen is a member of Fife AC. Both of these high performance athletes richly deserve the honour of representing GB and Rotary in Fife wishes them every success.
