25/7/21 PRESIDENT'S PARTY AND THANK YOU TO VOLUNTEERS
Covid-19 Celebrations
Last Sunday, M&P Rotary met at Midhurst Cricket Club to celebrate the President’s Reception. However, this was not the normal annual event – what is in these unusual times?
This was also an opportunity to thank all the Riverbank Medical Centre Volunteer Vaccination Support Team and the staff. Over one hundred guests arrived for refreshments. Simon Flint, Rotary President, paraphrased the Bard when he welcomed “Friends, Rotarians and Volunteers” to thank them for their hard work.
Dr Tim Hill continued the theme by praising the joint team approach that had processed over 23,000 vaccinations. A special mention must go to Kath Miles, the Practice Manager, who navigated the whole service through the early stages of PPE, protocols and inspections and then ensured the delivery proceeded on an even keel.
There were also 30 or so invisible volunteers who have been phoning up patients to agree appointments.
Next year’s Rotary President, Julian Goodale, was also to the fore with his family. They prepared a spread of sandwiches, snacks and cakes that left a contented smile on everyone’s faces.
