After a year laden with restrictions for dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, a successful Rotary year under the leadership of President Richard comes to a close. We are delighted to welcome incoming President Gill for the forthcoming year.
On this occasion our annual presidential hand over meeting was held outside on a lovely summer day at Lower Hook Farm, courtesy of fellow rotarian and club member John Hicks.
The handover also welcomed incoming officers for President Elect Linda Locke and Junior Vice President Catherine Hacker.
After summing up the year outgoing President Richard announced two Paul Harris Fellow awards. These were given to long standing club member and past president Bill Hancock and to club member Mark Mudd. The awards are 'in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world'.
This outdoor meeting was the first and last of the 2020-2021 Rotary year to be held face to face. The weather was very kind to us and with a packed lunch provided by fellow club member Robert Collis a very pleasant and enjoyable lunchtime was had by all.
We now look forward to another year of successes in all we do as Rotarians under the leadership of President Gill.
