Prestwick Railway Station garden makeover

Volunteers from Prestwick Rotary completed a makeover of the gardens at Prestwick Railway Station over a period of 7 days. Hansel are Station Adopters but hadn’t been able to tend the gardens and tubs there due to Covid restrictions.

The station gardens were largely cleared and replanted with perennials and some bedding. The picket fence at the bottom of the garden was rotting so it was removed and we dug in 6 troughs and filled with them with bedding. The large tubs at the front of station plus 6 tubs on Platform 2 were also replenished and planted up. Another 4 troughs with sweet peas and dwarf sunflowers were planted up too.

We also bought Beebombs and a Beehouse (from Daisy Chain) and intend to create a wild flower garden.
Well done to all the Rotary Club members for there efforts in the makeover of the gardens at Prestwick Railway Station.
