Rotary buys Oxygen Concentrators for Indian COVID patients - May 2021

Everyone has seen the horrendous COVID-19 situation developing in India and the deaths this is causing because of lack of oxygen. Working with Rotary Clubs in NW England and India we have donated £500 to buy oxygen concentrators.

Rushen & Western Mann helping fight the deepening Covid-19 crisis in India

Once again proving the Rotary motto of “People of Action”

Everyone has seen the horrendous COVID-19 situation developing in India and the deaths this is causing because of lack of basic medicines in hospitals, even Oxygen.

After contact from our Rotary clubs in India a fund was quickly setup encompassing the Northwest of England and Isle of Man so we could supply Oxygen to the many regions of our fellow members in India and help relieve the suffering. Rotary have now setup a foundation to take this forward.

People are waiting for up to 12 hours to get a cylinder filled

Rushen and Western Mann Rotary as part of district 1285, which includes the Isle of Man Rotary clubs and all of the northwest England clubs, together with Rotary district 3040 (which has 89 Rotary Clubs of the Madhya, Pradesh and Gujarat districts of India) setup a disaster fund to help in any way possible.

Currently Rushen & Western Mann have donated £500 towards this fund. This will enable these Indian districts to purchase and distribute, directly from the manufacturer, the Oxygen concentrators it has in such short supply.
