Dr Ian Goodall is the retired headmaster of a comprehensive school with 1600 students. He still teaches Biology A level via private tuition.
He has degrees from the universities of London, Belfast and Glasgow and the Open University.
Ian is a member of Midhurst & Petworth Rotary Club. Ian described the events leading up to the discovery of insulin, and the saving of millions of children’s lives from early death by diabetes.
As we near the centenary of the discovery it is a good time to tell the story of a Canadian hero - Frederick Banting.
