These are clues, mostly cryptic and anagrammatic, to the names of English castles. Most are conventional castles (battlements, moats, drawbridges etc) in various states of repair, from the largest inhabited castle in Europe to a few stones or some grassy mounds. Two are actually grand houses though they have the word castle in their names.
