Monday 4 Jan 2021 - First Rotary Meeting of the Year over Zoom

Roger Stent, DG Elect talks about Environment Policy

At 6.00 pm Rotarians and some Inner Wheel ladies logged in to the Zoom Meeting to hear why ‘Sustainable Environment’ is now a 7^th area of concern within Rotary. This formal recognition will enable clubs to push forward with ideas such as Recycling (Roger mentioned bicycles for Africa), Waste Reduction, Bio-diversity, Wildlife Preservation and Carbon Reduction. Roger is keen for clubs to come up with projects that will make a visible difference and reminded us that money is available to assist in this area.  Simon Flint certainly aided the course of discussion by coming up with questions to ask Roger - an interesting and orderly zoom meeting!
