Prestwick Rotary took delivery of 50 Xmas Boxes from the fabulous local charity. The Night Before Christmas Campaign (TNB4CC) with Rotary Members, their family and friends filling them with £10-£15 worth of Xmas gifts for local children. Feels such a great cause and we are delighted to contribute to their work.
Prestwick Post Office and Daisy Chain in the town have taken the delivery of the Boxes for us which is great.
TNB4CC was started in Annbank in 2015 by a 12 year old girl, supported by her mother, and she distributed 90 decorated shoe boxes of gifts before Xmas to children in the area-what an achievement. Last year they delivered over 2600 boxes across Ayrshire and beyond!
They are assisted by a network of charities, schools, churches and a fabulous team of local volunteers. You can find out more about TNB4CC on their Facebook page and even see how you can get involved or fill a box Fbk: @thenightbeforechristmasboxes ;email: nb4cc2017@gmail.com) . They have opened a hub at the Tsukure Café Hub, High St, Ayr (beside M&S) where you can drop in for information like recommendations for Boxes (or you can use a Gift Bag).
They have received requests for nearly 400 boxes already so they are expecting the current situation to dramatically raise the need for children and young people of local hard-pressed families to be given a little extra at Xmas.
Prestwick Rotary President Stephen Cooper says, ‘What TNB4CC does is so simple an idea but brings so much joy to thousands of children. We are delighted to play our small part’.
