Paul Harris Fellowships were awarded to Andrew Mitchell and Paul Mellings.
As the Rotary Club can only meet over Zoom at the moment the presentations took place in Andrew's garden. This did enable tea and champagne celebrations to take place in the sunshine.
Andrew Mitchell
His continuing hard work with Midhurst and Petworth Rotary organising many large club events like the Food evenings, etc. all with his normal high energy and enthusiasm together with the unique ability to involve everyone in the club. His later projects have been via Rotary District Grants including Easebourne Primary School laptops and very recently the South African project initiated by Sarah Morley. All his projects have been enthusiastically led and carried on through to closure.
Paul Mellings
Paul works behind the scenes in all our fund-raising activities, Christmas collection, MADhurst, car parking, Marshalling, in Petworth/Midhurst, Golf Day event, etc.
He has been a member since 1997; was President in 2013; a Trustee since 2015; and Club Treasurer since 2014 - Introduction of cashless Rotary; Chairman of Membership Committee, Com Voc & Youth. Involved in moving the lunchtime Rotary Meeting to Twilight
Paul has been involved in our Community: Chairman MYBUS; Trustee Midhurst Cottage Hospital; Treasurer Midhurst Community Land Trust; Chair of Finance Catholic Parish of Midhurst & Petworth. Secretary and Trustee British Dental Guild. Past Chairman Stedham Parish Council.
