Working with Rotary to enable the journey to continue
Rotary Community Corps
A Rotary sponsored community group that empowers its members to make a difference in their community and themselves.
- A Rotary Community Corps is a group of non-Rotarians who share Rotary’s commitment to changing the world through service projects. RCC members plan and carry out projects in their communities and support local Rotary club projects. There are more than 10,000 corps in 100 countries.
- A good example is the Rotary Community Corps in the village of Bricket Wood that started life in response to Covid-19 when a number of people were asking what they could do to help. The group has sorted out paper delivers to those out of the delivery area, hospital transport, food deliveries, collection and delivery of food orders, collection and posting of parcels, and the collection and delivery of prescriptions from the local pharmacy.
National Citizen Service
Providing opportunities for young people to develop community action projects that will make a difference to them and their communities.
- Rotary works with the NCS providers across Beds, Bucks and Herts to identify and help provide support and opportunities for young people to develop community action projects that will make a difference to them and their communities, and to continue volunteering once their NCS course has ended.
