Prestwick Rotary Club is running a BEACH CLEAN on SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2020. Meet at Kidz Play in Prestwick at 10.00 am. All are welcome to come along and help. We normally run a beach clean in April, but this was not possible due to virus restrictions. Please mark this date in your diary, and support us in clearing rubbish from the wonderful beach, and grassy dune areas.

The beach clean will be a great opportunity to do a late summer clean-up, before autumn/winter weather. The clean-up is being run in association with ‘Keep Britain Tidy’, together with valuable support from South Ayrshire Council.

Please wear stout shoes and gloves, and we will have some ‘litter-pickers’ you can borrow, to assist in lifting rubbish. We will clear from The Bell Rock at the south end of the town, northwards to the Pow Burn estuary. Previous clean-ups have collected a mountain of rubbish, so we can make a difference working together as a team. It is worthwhile, sociable and fun. Young people are especially welcome, and cadets are pictured behind a typical Prestwick beach clean rubbish haul.
