In August 2020 the club agreed a £100 donation towards West Fife Woodlands fundraising appeal.
The West Fife Woodlands Group – all local volunteers – are continuing to make huge improvements to the paths around the West Fife Village’s Area and are currently working on the paths around Culross, in particular The Moor Road, the Plague Grave and the Mausoleum at the West Kirk.
They were also involved in creating the West Fife Woodlands Way – a 10 mile circular walk taking in Valleyfield Woodland Park, West Bings Viewpoint, Balgownie Wood, Devilla Forest, Culross and Preston Island – an informative leaflet is available from the noticeboard at the Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre.
The group are raising funds to allow them to continue to upgrade the path network in and around the West Fife villages, and to buy a motorised wheelbarrow to reduce some of the physical effort required.
Having seen the physical maintenance and improvement work involved, it is great our Club is able to provide a little financial support.
