Scatter with a difference
Six Soham club members joined ex Soham Rotarian Bruce Golson and his new club of Waynesville Sunrise, North Carolina for a virtual Rotary meeting.
7am US time - 12 noon UK time. Fellow Rotarians from both clubs joined virtually for a meeting with a difference.
We were also joined by District 1080's PDG John King ( Newmarket Club) and DG Tiffany from District 7670.
During the meeting, fund raising initiatives carried out bu both clubs were shared and also medical outreach activites plus RYLA to Roteract were discussed. We also shared how fellowship is conducted in both club environments which certainly sparked some new possible ideas for both clubs
We also experiences and practiced different cultural elements of Rotary - from allegience to the Flag, a toast to the Queen, reading the 4 way test and toasting Rotary & Peace the world over.
Overall, everyone seemed to enjoy it and the world of Rotary seemed that bit smaller.
