Carli Jack of Churchills Retirement Living had contacted Rtn. Peter Strong, our Membership Secretary.

Churchills told us we are their local charity of choice and they would be holding a coffee morning on Tuesday February 25 from which our Rotary Club of Billericay would be the beneficiary of the money raised on the day, with the Churchill Foundation matching that sum.  All Club Members and partners were invited.

The day was a great success, the car park was full, and reception area replete with visitors with a fair number of our Members too, including President Ben, President-Elect Peter, International Chairman Malcolm, Membership Secretary Peter Strong and Treasurer Mike Ginn, together with partners, who were all made most welcome. Some of them even took the opportunity to inspect the rooms!

Peter Strong commented “Good publicity for them, and good publicity for us, and we might even gather some new Members from Meadow Lodge.  Many will be retirees and much our age. Ideally, too, it’s just 200 yards from Reids.”
