Club donates £500 to Rotary Disaster Recovery Trust

£500 was raised by Club members having a 'Soup and Sandwich' instead of a normal meal at a recent club meeting. The money has been donated to Rotary in GB & Ireland Disaster Recovery Trust "Australian Bushfires" non-emergency appeal.


Donations collected by the trust will help affected communities in Australia once the recent bush fires have been extinguished and the rebuilding phase is taking place.

The trust works with Rotary clubs and their volunteers by providing funds for long term, sustainable projects that will help those communities in the future.

The trust is not providing emergency help immediately, as there are a great number of charities already set up to do so, but it’s there to help fund those that offer solutions once the immediate need has been met.
