Llandudno Rotary kicked off its activities for 2020 with a trip to Ffrith Beach 10 Pin Bowling, Prestatyn
Social Secretary Mike Perry kindly arranged a friendly challenge between the nine Rotarians able to make the trip and ten of the Prestatyn Monday ‘regulars’
In the event, the two groups integrated, rather than competing (which is perhaps as well), playing a total of three games of 10 bowls each game and the individual scores were what counted. The top bowler was Julie from Prestatyn, on 471 points with the booby prize ( a bottle of white wine) going to Chris Drew, of Llandudno Rotary, with 195 points
John New seemed a little bemused to be awarded a prize of a box of “After Eights” for “most improved”
Rotary is a mix of lighthearted fellowship, social interaction and coming together to do good things – offering both local friendship and membership of the largest service organisation in the world
