Rotarians in Cumbria collected your old, unwanted coats and gave them to charities that support the homeless, refugees, children living in poverty and people fleeing domestic violence (to name a few).
Any size, style, colour of men’s, women’s and children’s coats was greatly appreciated.
All donations were then be sorted and delivered to our nominated charity partners [listed below], for distribution to those in need just in time for winter.
A total of 34 collection points were available in North Cumbria and a total of 2793 items – mostly coats - were generously donated. People from Penrith, Appleby and the surrounding areas gave overwhelming support to this worthwhile cause and these are just some of the charities/people in our area, who received much needed items to wrap up and keep warm this winter:
