WOLVERTON & STONY STRATFORD ROTARY CLUB CELEBRATES 60 YEARS

Some 70 members and guests recently (Saturday 19 October) attended Wolverton & Stony Stratford Rotary Club’s Diamond Anniversary Dinner held at the Holiday Inn in Central Milton Keynes. Joined by Rotary’s District Governor Mary Whitehead, members of Wolverton Inner Wheel Club and other local Rotary clubs, members were entertained after dinner by the Sloop Groggy Dogs, a local group of sea shanty singers.

The evening also provided a fitting opportunity to honour one of the club’s long serving members. President Marcus Rixon and District Governor Mary had the pleasure of presenting a Paul Harris Fellowship award to Rotarian John Welch who has been a stalwart member for over 40 years.
