Speaker 25th October 2019 - Bucks Young Carers

Sandy Briscoe  a fundraising manager for Bucks Young Carers was our speaker on 25th October.  The organisation supports children and young people, aged from 6 to 18 who have a caring role for someone in their home.  It arranges clubs and activities for young people and organises one-to-one support where required.  Having someone to talk to who understands our needs is something we all recognise as very helpful and supportive but to someone under 18, looking after a parent or sibling, it is crucial. 

Bucks Young Carers has an impressive range of ways in which they can support young people and their work is critical to the carer as well as to those for whom the care is provided.  Members were impressed by the range of services and dedication to a really important group of people who are often forgotten.
