Monday was a club business night at Irvine Seagate Rotary. It was noted that 20 of the trees for this year’s Christmas Tree Display at the Portal have now been sponsored, with 6 still available. If any local business or individual would like to sponsor a tree for £100, and decorate it or nominate a local youth group or school to do the decoration, contact Robert.mcmillan8@btinternet.com. The beneficiaries will be Irvine & Troon Cancer Care and Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline.
The collections for Poppy Scotland, organised by Seagate, will be at Tesco and Sainsbury’s this Saturday, 2 November, and next Friday and Saturday, 8 and 9 November.
Seagate’s annual Sportsmen’s Dinner will be on Friday 28 February, with main speakers Scott Glynn and Murdo Mcleod. Further details will be available nearer the date.
