1240 District Darts Tie

Our team, captained by Ron Johnson, with Stefan Bokos, Helder Lemos & Neil Macalister, had an away match played at The Blue Lion, Great Baddow

Despite lack of practice all round, we did pretty well. In the singles, best of 3, from 301, we drew 2 - 2;  in the doubles from 501, we drew 1 -1 So at 3 all, the deciding game with everyone playing from 901 was to be the decider. Having started at 7:30, we were to finish at 10:40.  We fought to the end - with both teams needing a double to finish, Chelmer Bridge just managed to beat us. So a close & enjoyable match - drowned with a glass or 2 + pizza & chips.
