Rotary Yes We Can “Buzzards”Shine

The “ Buzzards” kicked off their season in the Berks, Bucks, Oxford Inclusion League at Oxford City’s ground in great style, resplendent in their sponsors FAI Autos kit and supported by Rotary,Parents & Carers.

Finding themselves in a very strong conference group, the “ Buzzards “ recorded 4 wins, 2 draws and just the 2 losses scoring 7 goals and conceding 4.

The squad saw four debuts, with Archie, Ben,Jed and Jordan joining last years core group indeed the “ Buzzards” squad was looking so strong that the coaching staff felt able to assist another team lending them two players for the day as they had been left short, and unable to play without help—Well done Joe and Karl for volunteering and Lizzie & Lawrence for making it happen.

The new league format introduced for the 2019/20 season proved very challenging, playing each of our opponents twice and sometimes having to play back to back fixtures but the “ Buzzards” came through with flying colours with captain Zac, new boy Ben and new goalkeeper Jordan all vying for the man of the match award.

The whole day was rounded off in great style with a 1-0 win over rivals Barton Rovers Eagles with “ Buzzards” sealing the victory with a flowing passing move and a clinical finish.

The next round of league fixtures take place on Sunday 17th November at the Oxford City complex, weather permitting.
