Prestwick Rotarians were treated to an exclusive preview of Mad Productions, one-man dramatic performance, of a Christmas Carol, adapted by Greg Oliver Bodine. Prestwick resident and actor, Ken O'Hara plays Charles Dickens, and other characters, in fine style.

Ken went through the whole process of costume, make up, line-learning, direction and delivery, before launching into a Dickensian accent, for a ten minute taster. His ability to switch characters, with an accent, expression or posture change is great to watch.

Lots of questions followed from a delighted audience, impressed by the sheer hard work and dedication to the task required of a one-man show. Debby Broughton-Hay offered a generous vote of thanks to Ken O'Hara, for allowing us an insight into his acting methods.

We all wish him the very best for the forthcoming show, which will be at least four different venues. 'A Christmas Carol' can be seen at The Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine on 29th and 30th of November, commencing at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 /£8, tel 01294 274059.
