Inaugural Classic Car Show for Hitchin Priory

Hitchin Priory held its first Classic Vehicles Show on 8 August, on the Recreation Ground, Pirton, on the edge of Hitchin.

The day was warm and sunny, with no wind, and about 240 classic cars of all types, plus several motorbikes, brought their owners to display their pride and joy to fellow enthusiasts and the many members of the public who came along to enjoy the show. As well as the vehicles and the essential bar, there were club stalls providing teas and cakes, bacon rolls, soft drinks and a raffle, and commercial stalls with their automotive wares.

The show proved a great success, was very much enjoyed by the exhibitors and the public and raised valuable funds for the club’s charities
