Speaker 23rd August 2019 - Rotary Global Scholar, Sandrena Frischer

Sandrena is a Rotary scholar who is studying a post-graduate course at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.  She spoke to the Club about her background, volunteering for the Peace Corps in Ecuador, working in California for Operation Access (organising medical support for vulnerable immigrants) and studying in London including a recent journey to Sierra Leone.  The last involved work related to the trial of a medicine hoping to provide protection against the Ebola virus.  Her detailed explanation of the challenges and benefits from life provided a truly interesting story.
