Llandudno Rotary on the crown green

Seasoned bowlers and some snobby seagulls alike were  pretending not to notice the – ahem – somewhat variable standard of some of the bowlers in the Annual Bowling Competition hosted by Llandudno Rotary at Craig-y-Don Bowling Green on Tuesday 23rd July

Six teams from the Rotary Clubs of Ruthin, Colwyn Bay, Llanfairfechan and Penmaenmawr and Llandudno Rotary Clubs competed for the shield

Eventually skill and talent won through and Colwyn Bay lifted the trophy, prising it from last year’s holders, Ruthin

The shield was presented to the winners by President-Elect Gavin Davies at a fish-and-chip supper at the Cae Mor Hotel later in the evening

Thanks are due to Mike Clutton and his admin sidekicks Alan Guinn and David Hardman; thanks too to Llanfairfechan and Penmaenmawr Rotary for the photographic record of the occasion
