Happy New Year at Llandudno Rotary

There are 35,000 Rotary Clubs in the world and each one of them starts the new Rotary year on 1st July with a new incoming President – except for Llandudno!

Mike Dean, who was to have been this year’s President, has now left the district to start a fresh business, and so existing President Rosalind Hopewell sportingly offered to step up to the plate and stay on for a second year

The new year has already got off to a flying start with

-       The induction of President-Elect Gavin Davies, who will success Rosalind on 1st July 2020

-        A visit - and stirring address - from Bob Maskall, incoming Governor of Rotary District 1180 (North Wales, Merseyside and parts of Lancs, Cheshire and Shropshire)

-       The Club being awarded a trophy for “Best Use of Social Media” in the District

A welcome to two more prospective members

-       Plans for a new category of “Affiliated Membership”  and also “Friends of Rotary” plus a proposed monthly Sunday lunch programme
