With the closure of the 2018-2019 Rotary year almost upon us, Rotarians, partners and many guests enjoyed a delightful evening at Goss Croft Hall in the Wiltshire village of Upper Seagry. The occasion being the annual Presidents dinner.
President Phil's guests from District 1100 included District Governor Joan Goldsmith, District Secretary Chris Firth, Assistant Governor Howard Small and their partners.
The evening commenced outside with drinks and canapes accompanied with entertainment by the singers 'After Eight'. Following this Rotarian John Loran and MC for the evening invited all inside the Hall for dinner provided by fellow Rotarian Robert Collis and his staff.
After the meal President Phil summed up many of the club achievements this year, concluding with the awarding of a prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship to Rotarian Allison Bucknell for her dedication to the Club and to the wider community. President Phil was then surprised and honoured with the awarding of a Paul Harris Fellowship to him. Both awards were presented by District Governor Joan.
The business part of the evening concluded with the wonderful news from Howard Small that approval and funding to start building the new radiotherapy building at Swindon's Great Western Hospital had now been achieved.
The evening concluded with dancing.
