Rotarian Martin Lewis reaches top of Mont Ventoux

Martin rode up Mont Ventoux - a journey of 13 miles at the gradient of Box Hill on Friday.  He did this to celebrate his coming of age - 3 score years and ten, and to raise money for a Chriyy in Malawi which is run by another Epsom Rotarian.

Barbara his wife, says

HE DID IT!!... Well Done to Martin Lewis of West Ewell who today for his 70th birthday cycled up The Mountain, the famous Tour de France Mont Ventoux.   It took Martin 3 hours. Which, when you think the peloton normally takes 1 1/2 hours and Martin is more than double Chris Froome age is fantastic.
