Some very welcome visitors to Llandudno
Every year, thanks to the tireless efforts of the volunteers who comprise the Chernobyl Children Lifeline North Wales, a dozen or so children from the area still badly affected by the 1986 nuclear accident in Belarus/Ukraine enjoy the holiday of a lifetime in North Wales. It is a major boost to their otherwise generally poor health
Volunteers from Rotary Club of Llandudno have traditionally hosted a day of entertainment and fun in Llandudno for them and this year the event is to be on Tuesday 25th June
The day comprises
9.30 Visit the Mayor of Llandudno at the Town Hall
10.30 Tram ride to Great Orme halfway gate.
11.00 Visit to Great Orme Copper Mines.
12 .45 Lunch in the Great Orme summit cafe.
2.30 Toboggan ride (to be confirmed)
(If raining, there will be a visit to Bonkers instead of the toboggan run)
3.45 Visit to Sports Direct for a gift and a photo call.
4.45 Afternoon Tea at the Senarth Hotel, Deganwy Avenue, Llandudno
If you see the children out and about, give them a wave – or come over and say “hello”
