Rotary guest John O'Donnell treated Prestwick Rotarians to a talk of two halves - one half on the history of Aberlour Childcare Trust, and the other half on his time as a football referee. John has a social work background and is keen to link up with other organisations in Prestwick.

The Trust is based in premises on the Ayr to Prestwick Road, and offers support to young people from very difficult backgrounds. Prestwick Rotary Club have recently donated funding to the organisation and will continue to stay in contact.

John then went on to speak about football refereeing, emphasising the importance of communicating well, whilst demonstrating competence, in a highly-charged environment. The talk was very interesting and entertaining, and Rotarian Richie Cameron offered a hearty vote of thanks, wishing John all the best for the future.
