There was no speaker at Seagate Rotary on Monday, so for entertainment the members were given a quiz.
To make it interesting, the questions were those answered recently by the team from Glebe Primary School in the West of Scotland finals of the Rotary Primary Schools Quiz. Glebe came a close 3rd with 105 points out of a possible 120. The highest scoring Rotarian was Jim Fairgrieve with 102, closely followed by Sandy Niven and Hugh Hutchison.
Glebe deservedly are going to the Scottish finals in Stirling on 22 June. Rotary members need to brush up on their knowledge of various aspects of modern life.
A team from Seagate are competing in the Ayrshire Rotary golf at Largs this week, and Sunday is the SANDS gala day and duck race at Eglinton Park with a Rotary run bottle stall among the attractions.
