Magpas Presentation - 2019
A cheque for £2086.30 was presented to Magpas Representative Helen MnMenamin-Smith by President Barry Lonsdale. The money was raised during the Christmas street collections.
Helen accompanied by her friend, Lindsey Rushmore, joined Rotarians this week and Presient Barry presented her with the cheque generated by our Christmas street collections in both Soham & Fordham during December.
Helen also shared with Club members her story and how her ability to cope with adversity had been an essential element in her life story.
She has also captured the details in a book she has written titled " Overcoming Adversity". Helen has requested that all the proceeds for her book sales go to support the Magpas organisation - to date the book has raised over £2000 - so far Helens fund raising for Magpas have reached over £6000.
Rotary looks forward to also supporting this worthwhile charity
