Supporting Save the Children Isle of Man Centenary Challenge

Save the Children Isle of Man has launched a challenge in its centenary year and is looking for 100 partners to pledge support for the charity this year. Organisations and individuals are invited to raise or donate a minimum of £100 to the charity and the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann has donated £100 accordingly.

Since 1919, the charity Save the Children has worked to protect children in more than 120 countries, including the UK and Isle of Man, at times providing food, shelter, medicine and education in emergencies and disasters around the World.

Save the Children also helped to create the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child and does its best to provide protection and security for children around the world when most in need. 

Within the past five years Save the Children IoM has launched a very successful scheme in several of our island primary schools called (FAST), Families and Schools Together which has now been taken on board by our Dept of Education and Children.
