The Seagate Rotary meeting on Monday started with a minute’s silence in respect for Honorary Member Bobby Campbell who died last week. Bobby was a founder member of Seagate, and President in 2004 – 2005.
Seagate’s speaker on Monday was Lesley Hetherington, lecturer at Glasgow University, talking about Positive Psychology and its role for employers and employees, and for business entrepreneurs. Essentially, if people are doing work that suits their underlying character and strengths, they are more productive and happier both at work and in their overall lives. There was extended discussion, and questions, and a Vote of Thanks was proposed by Eric Greig.
