Transforming the Walled Garden at The Old Moat Garden Centre. The Old Moat is run by The Richmond Fellowship to help people recover from mental illness and strokes. We support them by helping maintain their Walled Garden.
Thanks for all the hard work on Saturday!
A team of volunteers helped transform the walled garden on Saturday. We
planted bedding plants, tended the strawberries and weeded and prepared
two large beds. The time whizzed by and we were grateful for the warm
mugs of coffee at the end. Looking at the effect, we were well
pleased. The crocuses which we planted last year looked delightful and
things are beginning to look spick and span. The new gates and fencing
have made a huge difference to the entrance into the walled garden and
it is obviously paying off. The dog training class is very pleased!
We may have a special session to cut the grass in-between these dates so
watch for emails if you like driving powerful lawn mowers!
