The speaker at Seagate Rotary on Monday was David Badura, fundraising manager for the Butterfly Trust, a Scottish charity providing help and support to Cystic Fibrosis sufferers.
Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive inherited condition which has many different levels of severity, but which primarily affects the lungs and frequently has many other complications. It affects around 1200 people in Scotland. The charity provides various services from organising volunteer drivers for frequent hospital visits, to friendship and mentoring, financial and practical advice and support. They are entirely funded by voluntary donations from individuals, companies and other organisations.
David answered questions, and a Vote of Thanks was proposed by David Cousar.
It has been confirmed that the Primary Schools Quiz will be in the Fullerton Hub on Friday 22 March. To date 6 local schools have confirmed that they will be taking part.
