Easter Egg Raffle 2019

Fantastic support for this year’s  Easter Egg Raffle.

The President of Chelwood Bridge Rotary Club Douglas Nash, would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the club to thank the 29 businesses located across our region who took part in this year’s Easter Egg Raffle. Their combined efforts has raised in excess of £........ by placing a giant Easter Egg in their establishments and selling to their customers squares for £1. On or around the the 17th of April one of the numbered squares was picked at random and a winner chosen. The picked winners were able to take home a giant Easter Egg making 29 lucky people very happy on Easter Sunday.  Winners of the draw at Pensford Post Office where two of the eggs had been placed decided to donate their egg to the Childrens Hospice South West. The photograph shows one of the winners Mrs June Wilcox with  Vaishail Patel (Pensford Post office). The second winner was Vaishail’s son. A spokesperson for the Hospice said they were delighted at these most generous gifts which would be greatly enjoyed by the children.  The proceeds from a total of 29 eggs will be used to support a number of local charities.
