Donations collected at the recent Rotary Club of Oswestry bucket collection at M&S Simply Food in Oswestry have been presented to two of the three nominated charities.
Although unable to receive their cheque this week, Shropshire Young Carers will also receive £140 as presented to the Oswestry charities Transhouse and Designs In Mind.
Receiving their cheques from Oswestry Rotary Club's former Community Chair Mike Griffiths, both were very grateful to the donors who had contributed to the collection in the M&S store.
Designs In Mind CEO Catherine Wilks said: "We are very proud of JOLT our retail brand. Support like this can help us to just pay the shop rent for example so that we keep mental health on the high street and part of everyday life."
Suzanne Smith of Transhouse commented: "We value all support as it can help our Transhouse residents take part in normal social activities in our homes so that they are able to participate in society when they leave us."
Mike Griffiths thanked the shoppers at M&S Simply Food for supporting the collection on a rainy day: "These local charities continue to do valuable work in our community and we are pleased to be able to help them in this way."
