OsNosh are a new community based project that aims to tackle food poverty and waste. They will take food that would otherwise be waste and cook healthy and free meals with it.
In the UK more than 15 million tonnes of food was wasted in 2013. Whilst supermarket waste was only 0.2 million tonnes of that, it's their aim to use at least some of it to feed, for free, those of Oswestry, Shropshire who need it the most.
OsNosh are raising funds through a gofundme crowdfunding appeal (click logo below)and are holding their first fundraising feast at Treflach farm on Saturday 28th July from 5.00pm (see below).
OsNosh members Ben and Tom were at our lunch today to tell us more about this project.
